Goodbye Eugene!

Oh Eugene, how is it that you grew on me so much? Four and half years ago I was convinced that I would hate you. Can you blame me? I thought I was going into nothing but the land of hippies and Duck fans. I was not a fan of either. And while,  I am still not a Duck fan (regardless of what the photos will tell you), I did quite enjoy myself here and am saddened to leave. It might be true that I would have been happy to stay for many, many more years here in the Euge, but here's to hoping and praying  that good old Mountain View grows on me too.

Goodbye Housh!

While driving  865 miles with an eight month old and a cat (only to hide him in another NO PETS allowed house) seemed enticing, we decided to do what was best for everyone and say goodbye to our beloved Housh. We loved that cat dearly and will miss him greatly, but are very happy that he went back "home" to my brother's family after a short four years with us.

We, of course, felt it necessary to take a photo of our family of four before his departure.

He Jumps!

I'm not sure how Henry managed to escape the jumping scene for so long, but it's safe to say that he is hooked. I mean look at that face. That is pure joy and contentment. And yes, we are wearing matching shirts. Totally Jakes's idea...

7 months

Henry is starting to show his personality quite a bit these days. This kid is full of smiles and high pitched squeals. He will eat everything in sight and is now the proud owner of two bottom teeth. Oh seven months, you are treasure. Yes, you are.

Proxy Falls

For the 4th, we decided it would be a really great idea to take our 7 month old who was fighting off a cold and teething on hike. As you can see from the photo Henry was thrilled to be enjoying the great outdoors.
