I've done a lot of dumb things.

I'd say in the last 31 years, I have made a lot of dumb decisions. Starting my master's program a week after we got pregnant, dumb. Potty training my 28 month old while in my last month of pregnancy, even dumber. Now to be honest, I was kind of bullied into potty training. I wasn't planning on attempting this feat until late this summer, or maybe not even until someone created a pill that you give your child that magically transforms them into a toilet only user. But unfortunately the two year old that runs a lot of my life had other plans and that included never keeping his diaper on.

So yes, these days you will find me and my just about 37 week belly on the floor scrubbing out poop. The pee? Oh we've got that down. The other, oh not so much at all. Henry has decided that he will ever so helpfully start to clean up his mess once he goes on the floor and I won't go into detail but I'm sure you can imagine how delightful it is to enter a room that reeks like #2 and then see the pile of wipes your son has used to attempt to clean up. Sure it's cute that he wants to be helpful, but I"m not sure how far that will go with our landlords when they see the poo stains all over the basement carpet. If only he would learn to blot instead of scrub.

Enough about poo, look how much fun this kid had today.

Look at that blue sky! It was a balmy 54 at the park today with wind strong enough to just about blow Henry right off the slides. Ah, yes, Spring is here. For now.

A common theme...

Spiked hair? Check. Beer in hand? Check? Only six more weeks til I get to order one of these beauties (I'm talking about the beer, not the man).

Until then I will continue to order double the ice cream.

Wearing sis' headband is just too fun.

33 and 33

Thirty three weeks pregnant with Mr. Henry
Thirty three weeks pregnant with Miss Evelyn.

Our weak attempt at getting a picture of Henry kissing my belly. Neither the wind nor the two year old were very into our photo shoot. It is, however, always nice to document a double chin.

And this is the face of a child who a minute into my shower came in with a bottle of super glue...without the cap on and then not two minutes later came in without pajamas or a diaper on and announced that he had gone "poo poo" before running back out again. Nothing ruins a shower quite like knowing that somewhere in your house is poop and that your child is running around un-wiped and quite possibly climbing on your kitchen table. :)

Mr. Personality

A quarter of the way into the year of the two's and no complaints yet. While our boy does exhibit caveman like behavior from time to time, I don't think it can necessarily be attributed to his age. He is a Denbrook after all.

And now for some high quality cell phone video:

Most of our car rides are like this:

And obviously we have an athlete on our hands. Look at that amazing form.

Lebron,Thomas and Baby Bumps

Pictures and a few words. Twelve days left before I get to take a three month break from my master's program.  Hooray!
31st birthday celebration. A generous couple at our church gave us free tickets to watch the Jazz play the Heat. Such a fun day, and probably the last time we'll get away without a munchkin or two.

Someone had a good Valentine's Day. Although while I did let him lick the beaters clean, he has yet to actually taste the final product. :)
Why does he look so happy?

Because he's about to ram into Buttercup. Don't worry she moved.

The Thomas obsession gets stronger every day.
Baby bump at 29 weeks. Feeling great and loving all the kicks and movement.

You might be surprised, but we finally did it.

At just a little over 26 months of existence, someone finally got their first "haircut". This is one of those times when "haircut" is not meant to actually mean plural hairs. Okay there were plural hairs, but I think maybe only seven or eight and dang that hair is fine! And no not a single hair was touched that wasn't directly around his ears. It just wouldn't make sense for hair to actually grow on top of his head.

He started saying "ow, ow" the moment the scissors came out. They were a bit rusty, but my guess is this kid won't have to worry about another haircut for quite some time.

And this is the face we now get if we say, "Henry, smile!"

What's that you say? You can't even tell we cut his hair? You're probably right.

For the Aunties

Rumor has it that some of you don't have Facebook and thus didn't get to see some of Henry's more recent photos. So here you go!

Our announcement that we are pregnant.

Henry and his second favorite person (no one can quite compete with his mama)

And lastly, Henry showing everyone just how great he looks in a pink coat. Let's hope his sister looks a bit better.
